During one particularly heavy snowfall in Sarajevo (capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina), a good samaritan named Edina Pasic was on her way to the vet with her dog. Roads were hardly navigable that day due to the snow, making for a very challenging drive.
Suddenly, she spotted a small, distressed animal in the snow. A passerby told her that the little creature was thrown out of a car into the snow and left to fend for itself in the harsh winter conditions.
It turned out to be a little dog, all alone in the world and freezing. Worried about his fate, the compassionate Edina just couldn’t bear to leave this precious soul behind.
Touching Rescue of a Dog Abandoned in the Snow
The small dog, later named Little Angus, was a delightful and energetic little fellow. His rescuer noticed that Little Angus seemed to have trouble breathing when he got overly excited. She scheduled an appointment with the veterinarian for the following day, anxiously hoping it wouldn’t be a severe ailment, such as a heart problem.
Fortunately, after an in-depth examination and an X-ray, it appeared that the main issue stemmed from a case of pneumonia. The veterinarian prescribed antibiotics and scheduled a follow-up in 10 days to monitor his progress. If the symptoms persisted, further testing would be done.
Happy Ending for Little Angus
Two months after his rescue, Little Angus found a loving forever home. Thank goodness for everyone who had assisted Little Angus in his time of need!
