Tiger vs Elephant: Watch a Tiger Jump on an Elephant to Attack a Man Riding it

Elephants are the largest living terrestrial animals, and can reach a height of 4 meters (13 feet) and tip the scales at a whopping weight of 7,000 kilograms (15,000 pounds). So it wasn’t entirely misguided for these mahouts to believe that they would be relatively safe riding an elephant in India, home to the majestic Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), also called the Indian tiger or the Royal Bengal tiger.
However, even though tigers typically steer clear of elephants and try to avoid them completely, there have been instances where tigers have leaped over the backs of elephants, inflicting serious injuries on the person riding it.
And that is exactly what was captured in this rare video from 2004, captured in Kaziranga National Park, in the north-eastern state of Assam, India.

Tiger vs Elephant Video
This captivating video features a rare an encounter between two of nature’s most formidable animals: the Bengal tiger and the Asian elephant. The video, provided by Wilderness Films India Ltd, allows us to witness the exceptional power and agility of the tiger contrasted against the immense size and strength of the elephant.
At the beginning of the video, everything seems to start out fine (the park rangers must have had a great view from up there).
Then, they clearly see something moving through the tall grass.
It was a tiger. But these guys thought they were safe up so high, so they continued to film.
But the tiger had other plans completely.
